PROJECT POLICY ANL 2 (Data Analysis And Marketing Coordinator)Department Description
Department PurposeThe Internship and Career Center (ICC) has campus-wide responsibility for developing experiential education opportunities (internships) and for providing advice and placement assistance to students regarding part-time employment, career planning, academic internships and career employment upon graduation.
Job Summary Under supervision of the Associate Director, utilizes valid and reliable research methods to gather, analyze, and report data on issues relevant to the work of the Internship and Career Center (ICC), most specifically the full evaluation and interpretation of data gathered through the continuous, annual First Destination Career Survey. Develops and implements assessment strategies for the Survey, as well as new and ongoing initiatives and programs. Delivers reports via multiple media and customized for multiple constituents. Supports the data collection and analysis needs of colleagues within the ICC to make data driven decisions. Reports results to both technical and non-technical audiences. Collaborates and coordinates with other professional-level Career Center staff, including the ICC Management Team, Career Recruiting Programs and other campus departments. Creates and develops electronic and print marketing material for employer and student constituents. Tailors marketing materials based on audience and delivery method. Coordinates student marketing with the Student Affairs Marketing and Communications campus department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Education/Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Higher Education/Student Affairs, social sciences or related field and/or equivalent experience/training.
- Experience conducting large-scale database analyses and survey research in an applied setting, including development of instruments, creation of meaningful variables, sampling, content and timing.
- Experience presenting abstract analyses in a meaningful way to small and large non-technical audiences involved in policy decision making.
- Experience in planning, organizing and implementing projects with complex logistics involving multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) : - Knowledge of statistical software for descriptive and inferential analyses including but not limited to appropriate use and interpretation of T-tests, chi square and analysis of variance, correlation, and regression. Advanced computer skills in Microsoft and Mac environment, including, Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills to produce top quality reports and data analysis/promotional materials, and to compose and edit information and correspondence in a timely manner. Writing skills to present complex data and information to a variety of audiences, from career services and university colleagues to students, parents, and the general public. Skills to prepare data presentation and marketing materials based on intended audience (colleagues, faculty, students, employers, etc.).
- Technical knowledge with excellent verbal/writing skills to communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical staff.
- Interpersonal skills to work with a diverse body of students, staff, faculty, administrators and community members. Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff of all levels, employers, faculty, students and alumni.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPreferred Education/Experience: - Experience in statistical research methods and data analysis.
- Experience with survey administration tools, in particular Qualtrics.
- Experience in institutional research in higher education.
- Experience with career services management systems and SiteFarm.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) : - Familiarity with the overall function of the UC Davis campus and UC system, including its teaching, research and service functions; its financial operations; and its student body and faculty.
- Analytical skills to evaluate operations and client needs and develop information and applications responsive to those needs.
- A high level of research analysis and judgment required to clean data, oversee software programming and web development, and coordinate collaborative relationships.
- Knowledge of UC Davis' academic majors, its professional schools, academic departments, and divisions.
