Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Director, Marketing & Communications for Undergraduate Admissions- New Brunswick. Reporting to the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Undergraduate Admissions, the Director of Marketing & Communications is a member of the Undergraduate Admissions leadership team responsible for meeting annual and long-term enrollment goals. The Director of Marketing & Communications leads a fast-paced team that delivers high quantity and a wide assortment of outreach and engagement options, including an email campaign with over 2500+ emails annually, print material, interactive presentations, web content, social media, and digital marketing.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Responsible for the development and implementation of a cohesive and differentiating communications and marketing strategy from concept to creation to delivery.
Cultivates data-driven, high-impact, and results-oriented marketing practices in order to enroll an increasingly high-achieving and diverse student body.
Advances and executes marketing and communication tactics that serve to engage and enhance relationships with target audiences including future students applicants, admitted students, enrolling students, parents, counselors and other educators, as well as internal constituents.
Establishes metrics-oriented accountability through analytics to ensure continuous improvement of activities and alignment with enrollment goals.
Identifies and leverages market trends, proactively infusing Undergraduate Admissions' marketing strategy with contemporary forms of communication and outreach.
Leads, supervises, and develops a team of professionals, and oversees the Marketing & Communications budget.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field.
A minimum of eight years of experience in marketing/communications, preferably in higher education or another non-profit setting.
