Job Overview
The Digital Content Specialist will manage the web/digital presence and assist with content initiatives for the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering and Applied Science as a member of the marketing communications team. This role requires someone with strong writing and communication skills who has the ability to apply those skills to a variety of formats, especially the web.
Position is hybrid with a blend of in-office and remote work.
Essential Functions
Manage and optimize the content and experience on the college's website using the university's content management system.
Write, edit, and publish digital content while enforcing the university's style guide. Assist with strategies for keeping content fresh and dynamic.
Coordinate with the university's technical, digital and user experience teams to ensure accessibility, functionality and performance of the college's website, specifically ensuring compliance with sections 504 and 508 of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Manage and assess website analytics, utilizing and reporting data to provide guidance for enhancement and improvement.
Write communications materials and blog posts with SEO best practices incorporated. Assist in the implementation of the college's content strategy.
Develop content and implement digital marketing tactics and lead generation campaigns to attain undergraduate and graduate recruitment and enrollment goals.
Assist with market research, benchmarking, and surveys to optimize the performance of digital strategies.

Required Education
Bachelor's Degree.
Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience
One (1) year of experience related to content creation, web content management, social media management, or marketing communications.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS and Adobe Creative Suite.
Understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
Additional Qualifications Considered
Experience with AEM or similar content management systems.
Experience with Google Ads and Google Analytics.
Basic knowledge of web design and UX best practices; the job does not require coding/programming.
Knowledge of SEO best practices and tools.
Superb communication skills, including impeccable writing and editorial skills and command for the English language.
Ability to master digital tools and platforms used for content creation and publication.
Strong interpersonal skills, including working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Excellent time-management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
Excellent multitasking, organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
Interest/motivation to expand your skillset, if you possess some of the listed qualifications, but not all.
