Development and implementation of annual marketing plan and budget for the shopping centre ; with the ultimate goal of increasing customer traffic and driving sales growth.
Marketing areas of responsibilities include:
Marketing of Londonderry Mall including : Advertising, PR, Special Events
Media Strategy & Placement Execution
Market Research
Manage Guest Services
Other responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Creation of special events, promotions and marketing programs to enhance the profile of the shopping centre that meet the needs of centre's retailers and the community;
Responsible for all aspects of the advertising & media programs including developing a media plan and rationale;
Direct the creative development and execution of the centre's branding programs to promote Londonderry as the preferred shopping destination in Edmonton;
Liaise with existing and new-to-market retailers to support their business promotions;
Development & implementation of all promotional activities, merchandising events and special events;
Development of strong local marketing initiatives for the centre to address the specific and unique needs of the community, including sponsorships and partnerships;
Responsible for the development and direction of the Guest Services Supervisor and personnel;
Oversee the implementation, operation and promotion of the centre's gift card program;
Support the management and leasing teams in developing materials and tactics to promote Londonderry Mall and Edmonton to future retailers;
Oversee promotion fund billings, approve invoices, and ensure spending is adhering to budgeted amounts
Prepare monthly marketing reports and budget targets;
Work closely with Specialty Leasing to develop strategic partnerships and sponsorships;
Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Experience Required
The successful candidate will possess:
A post-secondary education with a minimum 5 years of marketing experience. Retail or shopping centre related experience is preferred;
Advertising experience (digital marketing, social media, PR, traditional media);
Proven working knowledge of social media platforms, internet/web, mobile & associated marketing techniques;
Experience and a good understanding of special events, community relations, media relations;
Self-motivated, innovative and able to deal within a fast-paced environment;
Ability to analyse demographics and related research information;
Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills;
Knowledge of visual merchandising, sales, and retail operations is an asset;
As an integral part of the property management team, interface with all members of the property team and contribute to collective goals, objectives and events;
Ability to work after hours and on weekends for special events intermittently as necessary;
Computer literate - Excel, Word, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or other graphics programs
