Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm
Department Summary: The Marketing Manager plays a key role in advancing strategic priorities and raising the profile of The University of Alabama, in support of the University’s strategic plan. Works within Strategic Communications to develop a clear understanding of plans, goals and ongoing efforts for communications related to various clients. Candidates must demonstrate experience effectively managing projects, meeting deadlines and leading project teams. Successful candidates possess a history of learning and utilizing new tools and techniques throughout their career to improve workplace efficiency and marketing return on investment. Knowledge of professional writing styles will be important as candidates must be able to master UA style.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of professional marketing, public relations, communications, or advertising experience.
Skills and Knowledge: Aptitude for learning emerging platforms, client communications, copywriting, editing, excellent oral and written communication skills, fluency with standard computer use, marketing research, project management and proofreading.
Preferred Qualifications: Google Analytics certified, Google AdWords certified, experience providing art direction to designers and photographers, experience executing digital marketing campaigns, email campaign experience, experience buying and placing advertising, experience writing for fundraising campaigns
