The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary
The Associate Director, Email Marketing will be a key member of Columbia College???s innovative and mission-driven Marketing, Communications, and Events Team. The Associate Director will report to the Director of Digital Marketing and will play a critical role in driving the development and implementation of Columbia College???s email marketing strategy, email marketing operations, and the analysis of campaign results, whilst supporting annual marketing objectives and the College???s strategic goals. This role will work cross-functionally to implement email marketing strategies with a focus on driving engagement, personalization, improved targeting via segmentation, and collaborating on data flows & connectivity into the ESP, CRM, and reporting platforms.
Responsibilities
Email Marketing
Lead email channel from end-to-end, including design, segmentation, execution, and testing email campaigns
Lead and execute campaigns strategically and ensure campaigns are operationalized in a manner that enables efficient and accurate performance tracking and analysis
Identify issues and solutions in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, develop scalable campaign templates and frameworks, and identify process improvements to drive efficiencies within the email program
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand desired capabilities, determine feasibility, and manage all aspects of creating and implementing new email programs from briefing to execution
Engage web development team, as needed, to build out new email and landing pages
Partner with ESP, CRM, and other vendors and/or internal partners to troubleshoot and enhance email performance, integrate new tools and processes into our existing martech stack to drive optimization
Stay up to date on email marketing best practices and tools, proactively searching for ways to enhance the reach and impact of the email program
Educate broader team on how to best leverage current functionality; create training materials and tools to support knowledge sharing and internal education/training efforts

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with a focus on marketing or related field required.
Minimum of 3 years of related experience in the digital and/or email channel required.
1+ years of Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience (or similar system, e.g. Hubspot, Marketo, Pardot, Eloqua, etc.)
Prior experience in project management, email strategy, and execution, with an eye for quality and accuracy
Must be adept at tracking and analyzing results with a proven track record of data-driven decision making and a deep understanding of email and website analytics
A team player with proven success in building relationships across a wide range of business partners
A proactive self-starter who loves tackling new challenges, undeterred by ambiguity with a bias for action
Able to effectively translate mission into message with a deep-rooted foundational belief in the value of higher education
