The Center for Sexuality and Health Disparities at the University of Michigan School of Nursing (UMSN) is seeking a Marketing Coordinator who will work with faculty Principal Investigators (PI’s) on five (5) grant-funded research projects. The projects each examine risk factors for HIV among sexual and gender minority groups in the United States. The primary responsibility for this position will be to work with the PIs on developing and implementing online recruitment strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing social media recruitment campaigns (including static images and videos), placing the advertisements on a range of social media platforms, and tracking the success of each advertising campaign in terms of research participant recruitment. The successful candidate will also be responsible for tracking and reconciling payment for the advertising campaigns. The person in this position will also communicate with social media companies regarding the processes and costs for placing advertisements on their platforms. The position would suit a candidate with a background in public health, social work, art/ design or media and communications.
This is a term-limited position due to salary funded on a grant. The target salary range for this position is up to a maximum of $55,000 per year due to salary funded on a grant. The actual salary determined will be based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate and may be less than the maximum. We encourage all interested parties apply.

A Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, art/design, or media and communications-related field is required.
A minimum of three (3) years of research work experience.
Experience in social media advertising and or graphic design Candidate should be able to demonstrate experience with, or passion for, working with the LGBT community.
Candidate must have excellent communication skills, with the ability to receive and convey information clearly and concisely for various mediums. You will be expected to have solid interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
Demonstrated proficiency at the intermediate level with Microsoft Office products (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision with diverse teams of people in a diplomatic, collaborative, and effective manner.
Demonstrated project, time management, and relationship-building skills.
