What you'll do:
Strategic Marketing
Manage the development, implementation and execution of fully integrated, strategic annual marketing plans for assigned Society departments. Meet regularly with departments to assess needs, review plans, and revise as necessary throughout the year.
Manage development of key messages that align with the program’s goals, target audiences and brand. Manage content of all offline and online communications such as newsletters, direct mail, promotional materials, websites, e-marketing, etc.
Identify the most effective ways to reach target audience through research and analysis.
Assist Senior Manager: Marketing Strategy, gather statistics and research for marketing programs and services.
Analyze campaign results to inform future marketing recommendations and share results with the organization.
Project Management
Manage all aspects of the implementation of department marketing plans, campaigns, and projects; development of concepts, writing/editing, production oversight and analysis, resulting in high-quality, brand-compliant materials on time and within budget. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously is key to success.
Manage all project resources; create, communicate and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, priorities, budgets and deliverables; and maintain proper communication with project team and departments.
Manage vendor relations, including creating specifications, assessing bids, negotiating prices, awarding contracts, establishing and meeting production timelines, evaluating proofs/press checks, monitoring workflow, overseeing production, coordinating delivery, and ensuring quality meets the highest standards within budgetary and schedule constraints. Continually evaluate marketing processes.
Other duties or special projects as assigned.
Internal Relationships
Build solid relationships with department staff by understanding goals, assessing needs, providing timely and accurate communications throughout the project process, and managing the process to successful conclusion. Collaborate with departments to develop audience-specific marketing initiatives.
Work closely with marketing team colleagues and the communications team to identify opportunities for cross-promotion.
Work closely with marketing leadership to ensure Digital and Creative teams are involved in marketing strategy, plan development and execution.
External Relationships
Work with RSNA members and volunteers as assigned.
Develop long-term relationships with high-quality vendors including consultants, designers, printers, and other vendors as assigned.
What you'll need:
Bachelor's degree required (concentration in Marketing, Communications or Business preferred)
Minimum of 3-5 years relevant professional experience in marketing environment
Experience in helping develop effective customer-centric marketing strategies. Demonstrated knowledge of marketing process, including research, strategy, needs assessment, planning, promotion, execution, and evaluation. Understand cross-promotion to achieve organization’s marketing goals
Strong project management skills. Ability to prioritize
Excellent oral and written communication skills with acute attention to detail. Strong editing and proofreading skills
Strong strategic thinking skills, with a solid understanding of end-to-end customer journey mapping, along with the ability to analyze data and apply insights to make impactful marketing recommendations
Solid knowledge of social media platforms. Keeps abreast of marketing trends, especially digital marketing (i.e., PPC, Google Analytics)
Highly creative and resourceful
Ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines
Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to organization’s mission
Thrives in fast-paced, changing environment
Experience with CRM Systems such as HubSpot and/or other marketing automation tools is a plus, but not required
