Position Summary:
We are looking for a Marketing Communications Web Specialist to join our Communications, Marketing and Design team. You will help develop and implement a new website framework for the Division of Student Life and its 27 sub-units. You will report to the Associate Director of Marketing and provide ongoing support to address units' website needs. You will work in partnership with the creative team and developers in our Technology Solutions team. You will bring a blend of project management skills, information architecture knowledge, user research expertise, and experience with content management systems to meet the website development needs of our division.
Collaborate with the creative team and web developers to implement UX designs and improvements.
Work closely with content creators to ensure web content follows best practices in terms of SEO, user engagement, and accessibility.
Collaboration and Problem Solving
Work closely with the Student Life marketing and communication teams to align web strategies with overall marketing goals.
Coordinate with all Student Life units to ensure consistency across digital platforms.
User Experience (UX) Design
Conduct comprehensive website user research using both qualitative and quantitative methods.
Apply UX best practices to enhance user satisfaction and accessibility.
Analytics and Reporting
Collaborate with CMD digital marketing strategist to compile regular reports on website metrics and user behavior.
Make data-driven recommendations for ongoing improvements.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Information Science, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in UX design, user testing, or a marketing/communications role with digital responsibilities role.
Strong analytical skills with experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
This role may have reporting obligations under Title IX and Clery.
Authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment and applicants for this position will not be sponsored for work visas.
Salary may vary depending on qualifications, experience, and education of the selected candidate.
Selected candidates whose start date is 4/1/2025 or after, will not be eligible for the university FY25-26 salary/merit plan unless otherwise notified.
