This position is responsible for overall development and implementation of marketing strategies in alignment with corporate strategic vision and goals. The Director of Marketing provides leadership for promoting existing programs and services, developing new products, attracting and retaining customers, growing revenue, adding member value, and supporting the brand. This position oversees research efforts and the development of related plans to improve member and customer satisfaction and engagement. The Director of Marketing is an Electric Services team member who also works collaboratively with subsidiary leadership to ensure profitability and meet revenue goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
A. Provide leadership for cooperative and subsidiary marketing efforts:
Plan and develop corporate marketing objectives
Identify opportunities to expand or enhance product solutions and offerings for the Cooperative and its subsidiaries
Analyze market trends, develop and oversee execution of appropriate marketing strategies, in collaboration with key company executives and staff, which are focused on providing an overall benefit to members/customers
Oversee member and customer satisfaction research processes. Monitor and analyze member/customer satisfaction survey results and communicate effectively to management staff. Works interdepartmentally to implement actions that drive improved satisfaction and engagement
Develop programs to enhance member/customer service and satisfaction results
Collaborate with subsidiary leadership in the development and marketing of products and services
Collaborate with Energy Solutions team in the development and marketing of member programs, such as energy efficiency, energy conservation, demand-side management and innovative energy solutions
Collaborate with Director of Public Relations to ensure cohesive, streamlined marketing and communications
Work interdepartmentally to develop creative engagement strategies, including but not limited to website, social media, mobile apps and all forms of advertising
B. Collaborate with Human Resources to develop plans for internal communications campaigns that improve employee knowledge of programs, offerings and strategy
C. Administration:
Administer effectively the cooperative's bylaws, policies, plans and budgets as they relate to assigned area
Develop and implement work plans and budgets to achieve the department's goals
Possess and readily share necessary information with the Chief Operating Officer in a well-organized and timely manner
Assist the Chief Operating Officer in carrying out his duties and responsibilities, as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS/CLASSIFICATIONS
Education: Four-year college degree with concentration in marketing. Formal training in marketing and sales management required.
Experience: Ten or more years of work experience in marketing or sales functions with demonstrated success in sales results. Management experience is required. Knowledge of cooperative business model is highly desired.
Job Knowledge and Skills: Must relate effectively with employees, members and others to provide exceptional service to all customers, members and stakeholders. Must possess knowledge of process management planning and excellent writing, editing and public speaking skills. Must be competent and willing to represent the Cooperative with members, key leaders and the general public to build business and grow revenues to benefit the members of the Cooperative. Must understand and operate successfully in a staff management position, relying on and coordinating with others not directly supervised for implementation of plans.
Normal Work Hours: Standard work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Must be willing and available to work outside normal work hours when necessary.
Driver's License Requirement: Operates own (personal) vehicle as job requirement (reimbursed mileage). Must have current, valid vehicle operator's license.
Overtime Status: Is exempt from the overtime requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act, as amended - executive definition.

RidgeLink is a telecommunication service currently available to business applications only.
