The Office of Graduate Affairs seeks an Associate Director for Graduate Enrollment Marketing to join its team. Reporting to the Associate Provost for Academic and Graduate Affairs, this position will provide leadership and support in advancing the University's graduate recruitment, enrollment, and reporting goals.
The Associate Director for Graduate Enrollment Marketing will have a hands-on role in implementing strategic marketing strategies and companion strategies that drive and support annual graduate enrollment goals. The position works in collaboration with a variety of colleagues and constituencies across the University to meet enrollment and revenue goals for assigned projects.
The ideal candidate will be a collaborative colleague who possesses a strong blend of strategic, operational, and leadership skills in digital marketing communications, admissions initiatives, and results-based analyses. The Associate Director for Graduate Enrollment Marketing will work on the implementation and continual optimization of marketing activities and campaigns designed to generate and nurture quality leads, applicants, and enrolled students. This position will work primarily within Slate CRM to create and implement e-mail and SMS communications to prospective students. The incumbent will also be responsible for working in close collaboration with the Division of University Relations related to the design and production of targeted print materials (publications, postcards, letters, event invitations, posters, envelopes), mailings, emails, digital content, and text messages.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Communications: • Manage and build overall email marketing strategy. • Create and deploy automated communication flows (i.e. drip e-mail and text message campaigns). This includes but is not limited to developing content, scheduling releases of campaigns, identifying target audiences, proofing messages and monitoring campaign metrics and performance. Requires extensive use of CRM system (Slate). • Collaborate closely with the Division of University Relations on a lead generation strategy. • Develop and write content to support the entire graduate enrollment funnel process.
Analytics: • Analyze campaigns and suggest more efficient strategies to boost return on investment. • Determine email marketing KPIs and develop and present reports on a weekly to monthly basis.
Web and Digital: • Provide content and oversight for various graduate website pages (position will be responsible for regular updates and collaborating with departments to obtain content). • An understanding of how to create digital campaigns e.g. Google Keyword Search, Google Display, Video, and IP device targeting.
General: • Participate in the development of print, video and other marketing collateral for graduate enrollment and collaborate with external and internal agents (staff, faculty, designers, photographers et al.). • Works with the Executive Director of Graduate Admissions and Recruitment and the Manager of Graduate Affairs Operations to optimize CRM capabilities. e.g. build new streams of communication in order to increase engagement. • Work collaboratively with the graduate enrollment team and University Relations to ensure that all marketing reflects consistent and timely on-brand/on-voice messages. • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external university partners. • Remain current on trends and best practices in marketing, with a focus on higher education and enrollment.

Required Qualifications:
• Oral: Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate across a diverse population. Excellent public speaking skills, ability to present the University to prospective students and other constituencies. Strong written and verbal skills. • Written: Excellent written ability. Proven ability to conceive and execute a robust communications campaign to prospective students. • Experience: 3 – 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in an enrollment management setting in higher education. • Strong project management skills; ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines. Ability to understand business processes and creatively use technology to improve upon them. • Experience with Technolutions Slate CRM very strongly preferred. Must have prior experience working with CRM tools and Student Information Systems for the purposes of recruitment and student information tracking. • Facility with all Microsoft Office Suite applications.
