POSITION
The LAHC is accepting applications for Digital Marketing Pre-Apprenticeship Program Vocational Education Instructor, Non Credit positions at our college for the 2024 Academic School Year. The purpose of this posting is to create a pool of qualified applicants.
LAHC is seeking a dynamic adjunct faculty member to teach in the Digital Marketing Pre-Apprenticeship Program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital marketing and bring industry knowledge into the classroom, ensuring students are up-to-date with current digital marketing trends and technologies. The purpose of this posting is to create a pool of qualified applicants. Successful candidates will collaborate, communicate and work as professionals with students, staff, faculty and administrators. Applicants with a demonstrated commitment to teaching and mentoring a diverse student population are strongly encouraged to apply.
Qualified applicants may be offered an interview with Noncredit Education Department members the LAHC. Final determinations of part-time Vocational Education (Noncredit) Instructor assignments are contingent upon enrollment, funding and class availability.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT & COVID 19 VACCINATION:
A medical certificate indicating fitness to instruct or associate with students is required at the applicant's expense after selection from an eligible list and prior to employment.
Pursuant to LACCD Board of Trustee's Policy 2900, all students and employees must be fully vaccinated or have an approved exemption. LACCD employees are required to provide their vaccination status in compliance with the LACCD Board of Trustees' policy. Newly hired employees will be required to provide their vaccination status prior to starting a position or, at the latest, by their position start date.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To teach a full range of community college, Noncredit Vocation Education course offerings focused on Digital Marketing, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Bachelor's degree; and two years of occupational experience related to the subject of the course taught; OR
Associate degree; and six years of occupational experience related to the subject of the course taught; OR
Possession of a full-time, clear California Designated Subjects Adult Education Teaching Credential authorizing instruction in the subject matter.
Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college faculty, staff, and students.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of digital marketing platforms such as: Google Ads, Meta Social Media Advertising.
Knowledge of email marketing platforms such as: MailChimp and/or others.
Knowledge of implementing paid advertising strategies and Search Engine Optimization.
REMOTE LEARNING
Faculty may be required to conduct classes in a virtual learning environment using CANVAS or other methods of remote learning. Applicants with demonstrated certification in Blackboard, CANVAS, Course Compass or other online modalities may be given preference.
DUTIES
The adjunct instructor should be prepared to teach a range of Digital Marketing related courses within the Digital Marketing Pre-Apprenticeship Program, and promote engaging and inclusive educational environments that support student learning. The successful candidate will be culturally responsive in interactions with students, faculty, staff, and community members who span a diverse range of languages, nationalities and ethnicities, socio-economic levels, ages, identities, abilities and educational experiences.
COMPENSATION
The salary schedule for adjunct noncredit instructors begins at $77.59 per standard hour.
