Overview
The School of Professional Studies (SPS) at New York University is seeking a creative and innovative Social Media and Content Marketing Manager who will build the schoolâ™s presence across channels (social media, web content, and public relations) by writing and executing posts, creating content for SPSâ™s website, and drafting press releases.
Weâ™re looking for a data-driven storyteller with a knack for creating compelling, original content that amplifies the stories of our students, award-winning faculty, and greater school community, all with an eye toward reaching prospective students and building content for current students.
This professional will:
Manage the schoolâ™s social media calendar, execute social media posts, and run standardized monthly reports. Provide on-site social media support at school events.
Create content for the schoolâ™s website and update existing content within our CMS (Adobe Experience Manager), drawing on a deep knowledge of SEO standards and best practices. Work closely with the schoolâ™s web vendor and internal stakeholders to support the schoolâ™s brand positioning.
Draft press releases, generate pitches, and support communications initiatives related to the schoolâ™s partnerships and key initiatives. Provide on-site support with the schoolâ™s events and conferences.
Conduct research on audience segmentation and develop student personas to determine right-fit messaging across platforms.

Responsibilities
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience: 5+ years Related experience in digital content marketing/communications. Higher education, advertising/communications agency, or other consumer-oriented organizations with a high dependency on digital marketing, web and social media channels to attract customers.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Sprinklr, etc.) and content management systems (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager, etc.). Excellent writing and communication skills. The ability to work collaboratively across organizational lines and with internal stakeholders and clients. Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills. Must be available to work at evening and weekend events in the NYC metropolitan area.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Deep understanding of web content development, including a working knowledge of HTML and experience with SEO, web analytics, and reporting. Ability to create and use a variety of digital assets (images, video, GIFs, and other forms of multimedia). A knowledge and passion for current and emerging social media platforms and experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana, etc.). Must be well versed in quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy of data in NYU systems and be able to strictly follow data privacy and security procedures for data handling and analysis to ensure adherence to legal and institutional standards.
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $90,000.00 to USD $110,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
