Preferred skills and qualifications:
Proven success in achieving sales goals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong project management, time management, multitasking, and decision-making skills. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, business, or related field. Proficiency with online marketing including social media and website analytics. Proven event planning and operations work experience. Experience budgeting and forecasting. Familiarity with business and financial principles. Association-related responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:
Manage NCDA special projects and member events as needed. Oversight of various training programs & seminars. Assist president with member communications and marketing, including various publications, reports, directories and digital assets. Oversight of certain facility maintenance and improvements, including AV and IT systems. All other duties and responsibilities assigned by the President. Event-related responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:
Assist president with exhibitor and sponsor relationships, including relevant contracts. Oversight of certain exhibit space and sponsorship sales. Assist president with various operations projects, including ticketing, security, etc. Oversight of exhibitor materials and manuals. Assist president with oversight of third-party contractors, including general contractor, event security, AV and IT. Oversight of event digital assets, including website and social media channels. All other duties and responsibilities assigned by the President. Additional Information:
Salary commensurate with experience and skills, and includes a full benefits package. Position requires in-person work at the NCDA office in Mira Mesa, Monday-Friday. Some weekend event work will also be required during the event itself.
