Rutgers University- Newark (RU-N), an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise is seeking a Marketing Specialist. Under the direction of the Director for Marketing and Communication, the Marketing Specialist aids in the development and execution of the marketing campaigns for Rutgers Law School. The marketing campaign includes various outlets, such as paid social advertising, print collateral, and organic social media. The position will be responsible for helping to craft the overarching marketing plans for RLS (Rutgers Law School) by ensuring a results-driven mix of traditional and digital marketing strategies and campaigns, developing social media campaigns, and working with the department to carry out the execution of the marketing strategy for paid advertising and organic social media daily. Further, the Marketing Specialist will track, analyze, and monitor trends and performance to ensure optimal distribution of marketing across outlets and programs.
This position is responsible for and not limited to the following:
Serves as a critical component for strengthening the school's overarching marketing campaign to help generate revenue growth and consistent branding and visibility for Rutgers Law School
Develop high-quality marketing materials, edit and manage the content, and oversee the marketing collateral
Assists in managing RLS's website content and framework to ensure brand consistency
Supports marketing for programs within the RLS
Works closely with school leadership, and internal and external stakeholders to elevate the Law School presence
Minimum Education and Experience:
Requires a bachelor's degree in public relations, marketing, communication, journalism, English or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates skill, knowledge, and understanding, as appropriate, of public relations, promotions, event design and production, marketing, public communications, writing, editing, organization, coordination, and project management.
Also requires a minimum of two years in a public relations or marketing function, good communication skills, and computer literacy to include industry standard software.
