Baylor University is seeking a full time Marketing Specialist. As the Marketing specialist you will manage and lead the social media accounts including answering comments, writing features, stories, and announcements for the Hankamer School of Business Communication and Marketing. Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
Understanding of the needs of a diverse student population within a Christian higher education setting and an openness to cultural humility.
Excellent writing skills
Familiarity with AP style
Proficiency in collecting and analyzing social media analytics
Excellent understanding of social media platforms and audiences, as well as measurements and analytics
Ability to thrive on deadlines
Ability to collaborate with people at all levels inside and outside the organization through influence and excellent communication to achieve desired results
Be successful communicating and interacting with all campus populations including students, faculty, and staff.
A bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations, communications, marketing or related field, two to four years of relevant work experience, and an active Christian faith are required. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
Manage and lead social media accounts for Hankamer School of Business and MBA programs, including monitoring and answering comments and inquiries on social media platforms, and management of a social media calendar
Write features, stories and announcements for use in publications, websites, newsletters and social media
Provide coordination and guidance to HSB departments, centers and institutes for social media campaigns, activities and audience engagement
Develop and produce graphics, photos and brief videos for social media
Monitor analytics and effectiveness of social media activity, including engagement measurements, providing regular reports to direct supervisor
Research and utilize emerging social media platforms as appropriate
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
Ability to comply with University policies
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
