St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for the two-year contingent position of Assistant Director of Athletic Communications – New Media and Marketing. Responsible for coordinating all aspects of new media, including but not limited to, social media, digital and graphic design, and video production to assist in the promotion of the athletic department and to increase engagement with the student, faculty, staff, and alumni. Will also perform the functions associated with managing the athletic department’s communications and game operations. This two-year position is funded through the NCAA Division III Ethnic Minorities and Women’s Internship Grant. The applicant must identify as a female and/or an ethnic minority to be hired.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred; and knowledge of NCAA and United East Conference rules and regulations. Experience at the college level is preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license; ability to travel and work nights and weekends required, and ability to lift approximately 30 pounds. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered. Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
