Position Function: The Director of Experiential Marketing will be responsible for bringing the Ball State brand to life through the intentional creation of unique and memorable experiences. Reporting directly to the Deputy Athletic Director, responsibilities include, but are not limited to, overseeing the development and execution of a comprehensive marketing plan for assigned sports, overseeing all student marketing initiatives, and collaborating to increase student engagement and attendance at athletic events. This position will also assist in the management of student staff, coordinate the mascot program, and perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned. Adheres to all NCAA, Conference, and institutional rules and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in communications, marketing, public relations, technical writing, digital media, sport administration or related field. One year of departmental experience in a related field.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited institution in communications, marketing, public relations, technical writing, digital media, sport administration or related field. Two years relevant experience in intercollegiate athletics, sports business industry or related agency work. Graphic Design experience.
