About the School of Information Technology
The School of Information Technology (SoIT) is a national leader in studying solutions and needs that connect people, information, and the technology of the time. The SoIT is home to Ohio's first Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Information Technology. In addition, it is home to Ohio's first ABET accredited Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity. The SoIT has been growing at 20% annually and currently serves more than 2,000 students with 31 full-time faculty members, 24 full-time staff, and 32 part-time faculty. The SoIT is home to several centers including an NSA/DHS Center for Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense, the Information Technology Solutions Center, the Ohio Cyber Range Institute, Applied Machine Learning and Intelligence Center, the Justice, Law, and Information Technology Institute, and the Civic Technology Center.

Job Overview
The School of Information Technology (SoIT) at the University of Cincinnati seeks to hire a Marketing Coordinator who will be responsible for coordinating engagement, marketing, and promotions efforts for the SoIT, its programs, and centers. We are looking for a mission driven, team oriented, highly ambitious individual who has a passion to serve, make a difference and strives to perform at a competitive level of excellence.
The primary workload assignment of this position is to support all of the inter-related academic sectors in SoIT, including the Ohio Cyber Range Institute (OCRI), the Information Technology Solutions Center (ITSC), and the Center for Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education (CAE-CD). In particular, this position supports various programs such as those targeting high school students, college students, adult learners, professionals. In addition, the position supports engagement with various stakeholders including students, faculty, staff, industry and academic partners, and government agency partners.
Essential Functions
Develop, coordinate, implement and revise marketing plans and promotional materials.
Develop customer and department profiles; plan ads and media mix.
Assess, develop and coordinate public relations campaigns.
Monitor, track and evaluate results; recommend changes.
Compile, update and report marketing data related to advertising and marketing programs.
Assist with the design, layout and writing of print materials.
Prepare/submit for approval budget and quarterly revision.
Recommend cost containment proposals where applicable.
Coordinate/evaluate bidding process regarding advertising and promotional materials.
Monitor progress/quality of bid packages.
Ensure student artists meet quality and style work standards.
Determine program schedules, deadlines, etc.
Perform related duties based on departmental need.
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Education, Graphic Arts, Liberal Arts, Marketing, or related field.
Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience
One (1) year of experience in development and implementation of marketing and/or advertising plans.
Additional Qualifications Considered
Marketing, communication, or promotion related degree at the bachelor or master's levels.
Experience in higher education context.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment.
Experience in promoting educational, government, and workforce development information.
Experience in using traditional and modern communication channels.
Ability to develop and execute plans.
Understanding of the administrative functions, academic programs, and requirements of a university.
Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere, as well as Office Applications such as Exchange, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
