MANAGER, RETENTION MARKETING, Technology Review, to help develop and manage subscription retention efforts that drive growth for MIT Technology Review. Responsibilities include partnering with the director of retention marketing on managing all stages of the subscriber journey; developing and launching a new onboarding and activation strategy that increases new subscriber digital engagement and activation rates; managing and optimizing renewal and win-back efforts; creating and executing a test-and-learn strategy to optimize performance of ongoing retention efforts; measuring and tracking performance and ROI for all retention efforts; coordinating creative design, messaging, and trafficking with internal and outside creative and fulfillment teams; collaborating on implementing initiatives that increase retention and loyalty; and supporting other retention or marketing-based initiatives as needed.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree; five years' retention marketing and operations experience in a direct response marketing environment; experience with a subscription, membership, or loyalty business and solid understanding of subscription metrics; hands-on experience with digital marketing tools, including CRMs, ESPs, and CMS platforms; experience applying data-driven decisions using analytics, A/B testing, campaign reports, and dashboards; excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills; experience with direct response copywriting and creative design for digital and print channels; expertise driving bottom-line impact; and attention to detail. Seek a proactive self-starter who is able to prioritize and manage multiple short- and long-term projects simultaneously; demonstrates a tactical approach to identifying challenges/opportunities, executing action plans, and developing retention strategies; and can work independently and as part of a team in a rapidly evolving environment.
