Keck Medicine of USC is hiring an entry-level Social Media Community Coordinator to help engage, build, and nurture online social communities. The Social Media Community Coordinator will monitor and engage across Keck Medicine of USCâs social media platforms, acting as the voice of the organization. The ideal candidate has worked on social media marketing for brands and has a passion for community management. In addition, they have excellent communication skills, are self-motivated, goal-oriented, and always up for a new challenge. This role will assist the Social Media Specialist on writing, content ideation, scheduling, analytics, and day-to-day postings.
Minimum Education:-Bachelor's degree in new media/digital journalism, public relations, communications, or marketing requiredMinimum Experience/Knowledge:-2 years of proven work experience in social media marketing and content marketing for a brand, preferably in a community-serving environment-Extensive knowledge of social media platforms, strategies, and trends (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Yelp, Google Business)-The ideal candidate has strong verbal and written communication skills -Ability to develop engaging content-Ability to moderate online conversations with the social media community while acting as the voice of the health system organization-Strong judgement skills to be able to moderate online conversations and flag issues to appropriate teams-Successful experience growing social media communities for healthcare or related professional industry-Ability to interpret website traffic, sentiment analysis, and online customer engagement metrics-Attention to detail and ability to multitask-Ability to take direction and manage multiple responsibilities-Eager to stay up to date with social media marketing trends
