This position will function as a Marketing Manager in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery with the primary responsibility of growing and managing the UCSF Orthopaedics Digital Orthopaedics Conference San Francisco (DOCSF) and all affiliated programs. Employee will report to Chair of DOCSF.
The Marketing Manager will be a remote position.
The Marketing Manager will have oversight of activities for Digital Orthopaedics Conference San Francisco (DOCSF) program, including day-to-day operations, organization of standing events and management of the programs' finances, including oversight and tracking of sponsorship income and expenses associated with running DOCSF. Key responsibilities will include driving year on year growth in revenue, membership and social media presence as well as preparation and tracking of yearly budgets for the conference and related events. The position oversees event marketing social media campaigns, as well as outreach emails. The Position manages the DOCSF website and ensures it is up to date and current, promoting events, content, , and sponsor information on regular cadence. This position will provide quality control and messaging consistency for all materials and public communications for the DOCSF programs and will represent DOCSF externally as required with support from Dr Bini and the department of Orthopaedics as needed. The individual should have strong communication skills across all levels of the organization with working knowledge of market trends in mass communication technologies, including all social media platforms.
Event management responsibilities may include managing an outside vendor or actively participating in registration oversight, speaker engagement, sponsorship fulfillment as needed. This position may be asked to help secure funding to support events by creating prospectus and other marketing materials and identify venues or new sites. Position will be expected to manage volunteers and hire vendors and contractors for events as needed to host DOCSF and related events or as directed by DOCSF Chair. The Position will collaborate with outside organizations to foster partnerships with DOCSF.
