Job Summary: The Program Manager for Program Development & Management develops and administers academic credit programs.
Additional Department Summary: The Assistant Director of Online Program Operations oversees and manages a dynamic portfolio of online academic degree and certificate programs within UA Online. Liaises between the academic college and The University of Alabama Online. Drives online program innovation, manages processes for program development, and ensures effective operations throughout the academic year. Provides functional oversight to a team of professionals involved in marketing, recruiting, developing courses and supporting student success. Analyzes, evaluates, articulates, and shares program performance data regularly, including information collected from various data sources related to applications, admissions, enrollments, marketing tactics, and course development. Audits financial reports for accuracy.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Masters degree or higher and three (3) years of experience developing and administering education programs such as credit, non-credit, seminars and workshops.
Skills and Knowledge: Strong critical thinking and project management skills. Excellent communication and human relation skills. Ability to work independently. Ability to effectively collaborate in a data-driven, academic environment. Ability to lead and manage diverse groups through planning, development, and implementation of projects. Knowledge of basic computer usage (office application software in word processing, spreadsheet & database management).
