The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for being a NUtech Ambassador, and creating awareness of NUtech Ventures to the public and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln community. Additionally, this role is responsible for working with the NUtech Ventures team to develop and support marketing efforts related to individual technologies and portfolios.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising or related field plus 4 years of experience in a communications and/or marketing role required. Excellent writing skills, with the ability to translate highly technical scientific language into marketing and communications content for the university and business community. Effectively communicate in person, through digital means, and by other communication mediums. Highly organized with attention to detail in completing assigned duties. Experience with social medial tools such as Facebook, Twitter, blogs and related media, preferably for use in strategic marketing. Experience working in Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator or any other software appropriate to this assignment along with a working knowledge or experience in Microsoft Office Suite. Collaborative problem solver who can take initiative and set priorities while being flexible.
Master's degree (MBA or relevant degree) preferred. Six years of experience in a communications or marketing role. Experience with scientific concepts and research, and technology-oriented products and services. Experience in technology product marketing in a university technology transfer setting. Experience in writing Associated Press-style articles. Understanding and implementation of SEO.
