Associate Director of Marketing and Production (Stage Manager)

Sets and maintains the calendar for all dedicated production facilities and arts classrooms, including the scheduling of events and rehearsals for the Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts, other campus units, and external customers. Coordinates calendars with Campus Events.
Marketing and Communications
In collaboration with the dean, campus and university teams, assists and coordinates with OCM in designing and implement marketing, consistent branding, and messaging strategies for the Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts.
Prepares and distributes marketing and promotional materials and other written materials as assigned by the Dean, including calendars, press releases, posters, postcards, invitations, social media/web content, and advertising.
Oversees intern students in the writing and layout designing of programs for events and performances.
Administrative and Supervisory
Supervises Gallery Director and oversees Gallery operations.
Supervises Production Management Spec and oversees production operations.
Supervises all box office and front of house staff.
Maintains production and promotional digital files, coordinates marketing and promotional activities with the Office of Communications and Marketing, and coordinates archiving production and promotional assets with the IUSB Archives.
Box Office and Ticketing
Manages public contact aspects of Arts performances.
Oversees and manages Ticketmaster software and equipment, meets policies set by the IU Office of Treasury, being responsible for the receipts and the accounting thereof.
Works with the appropriate IU offices to set and maintain emergency policies and procedures for all venues.
Acts as House Manager for some performances.
Provides day-to-day operational management of performing arts staff.
Establishes short-term operational objectives.
Identifies operational issues and/or areas of improvement and implements solutions to improve processes and/or operational efficiency.
Analyzes, monitors, and evaluates performance of assigned staff; establishes work priorities, conducts performance reviews, and provides corrective action as needed.
Ensures adequate staffing and effective scheduling for productions; participates and informs employment decisions for assigned staff.
Provides direct supervision and oversight of assigned staff and activities; impacts, and is held accountable for, the performance of team and/or assigned staff.
Ensures and provides training to assigned staff to improve performing arts productions; researches and identifies development opportunities for assigned staff.
Researches and stays up-to-date on new industry performing arts and stage management standards, best practices, and emerging technology; keeps next-level leader(s) informed of trends as well as significant problems.
Bachelor's degree in a related performing arts field.
Bachelor's degree in stage management.
2 years in a related field.
Experience in stage management.

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to remain in a stationary position as well as the ability to move about the workplace for long durations. It requires effective communication, the ability to operate machinery, tools, and controls. The role requires the ability to ascend/descend ladders/stairs, and to position one's self in low level positions, detect a variety of chemicals and/or gases. The role requires the ability to ascend to rooftops and move in tight spaces to perform and complete inspections. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
