The Manager of Member Marketing is responsible for providing marketing support and direction for all areas of the organization that involve the member experience. These include Education, Membership, Products, development of our quarterly member newsletter and management of the Society’s exhibit booth at the annual meeting, with other tasks as assigned.
The position requires an experienced marketing generalist with expert writing skills, project management, solid working knowledge of digital design, market planning, web promotion, and an awareness and sensitivity to the needs of member-based organizations. Position is required to work as staff liaison to our Product Development and Market Research Committee. Some travel and overtime required. This is a pivotal position within the Communications Department of the organization.
Promotion and Planning:
Creating, producing, and executing ads, e-newsletters, and email campaigns, including campaigns analytics.
Producing and serving as managing editor for Aesthetic Society News, the quarterly member newsletter.
Promotion and marketing of all Aesthetic Society products.
Development of marketing plans for membership initiatives; Marketing plans for the annual meeting and symposia; Member and consumer research in support of initiatives instituted by the Society’s Product Development and Market Research Committee.
Project Management - Meetings and Symposia:
Planning of annual meeting booth space, ensuring that all paperwork, contracts, etc. are executed in a timely manner.
Graphics, and other physical booth materials.
Development and implementation of pricing strategy for products and researching ancillary benefits for members.
Actively promote a customer service culture in all interactions with members and others associated with the Society.
Other activities as assigned.
Education and Experience:
The Manager of Member Marketing is considered a vital tactical position within the Society and requires at least 5 to 10 years’ experience in the areas listed above, preferably within a mission-based or nonprofit membership organization.
Minimum experience includes:
Solid experience managing high-profile projects with rapidly changing priorities
Excellent writing skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
Ability to work with diverse audiences and surgeon volunteers
Excellent platform skills and the ability to convey ideas in a clear and concise manner
Solid understanding of Higher Logic email platform preferred
College degree, preferably with a concentration in marketing, communications, liberal arts, or equivalent
