Overview
Tufts University Communications and Marketing’s Content team has an opening for a content creator—with a portfolio focus on writing/content production in the health sciences and research areas.
What You'll Do
The Content Creator creates content across the full range of available media and for distribution across all available channels, with a focus on Tufts Now, the university’s news site. The function of the role is to tell the story of Tufts University—the research of our faculty, the ideas of our students, the impact of our alumni, the opportunities represented by our degree programs—in a highly compelling manner.
What We're Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years of demonstrated experience producing content in a deadline-oriented environment, with a high-volume portfolio of strong work, including content development across multiple channels and media
Sharp writing skills and keen attention to detail
Demonstration of ability (with good time-management skills) to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Candidates must be willing to learn new content production tools (including WYSIWYG multimedia tools, simple image editing, audio editing in Audition, etc.).
Prepared to work collaboratively with colleagues to enrich the professional experience and greatly improve the end product
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant experience
Preferred Experience:
Experience writing/content production in the health sciences and/or research strongly preferred
Familiarity with higher education environments
Understanding of content optimization for social, mobile, SEO, etc.
