Sr Project Manager, Enrollment Management Marketing and Sales OperationsAbout the OpportunitySummary and Responsibilities:The Senior Project Manager on the Enrollment Management team at Northeastern University reports into the Assistant Director of Project Management. They will manage all aspect of related projects to ensure alignment with the overall strategic enrollment management objectives. This role will manage a portfolio of complex, cross-department initiatives which span across multiple lines of business and they will be responsible for working with the digital marketing, creative, college success, regional, web, IT, and operations teams to manage projects related to operationalizing sales tools, driving program performance, utilizing marketing automation technology and processes, supporting demand generation initiatives, providing list management support, increasing productivity and analytics, streamlining digital marketing and generating creative within the realm of admissions and enrollment management.
The person in this role will work closely with stakeholders in defining project charters, resource and budgetary requirements, and will oversee the entire project lifecycle to deliver comprehensive and strategic solutions as well as lead large scale projects involving culturally and geographically diverse cross-functional stakeholders with varied technical aptitude. In addition to excelling in scope, time and budget management, the ideal candidate will also have a thorough understanding of the full enrollment/student lifecycle.
The Senior PM will provide leadership by motivating team members and working to expand their capabilities by establishing best practices, policies, various project management methodologies, and QA best practices. They will be advocates of process improvement within the enrollment management division.
This position requires confidence, self-discipline, a sense of urgency, and the ability to be innovative, make decisions and take responsibility for them. You will need to react and adjust quickly to changing conditions, identify risks and recommend solutions. This job requires strong analytical and technical abilities and demands fast, but carefully thought-out results to guide teams to meet project goals and deliver high quality work.
The job demands a factual, direct style of communication and significant self-discipline with attention to detail. There is a strong demand for high quality, organized and repeatable results. The responsibilities are broad in scope, encompassing a wide variety of activities requiring rapid shifts in priorities, self-accountability and perseverance.
Qualifications:- 6-8 years of proven project management experience in marketing automation, digital applications, marketing and sales technology, multimedia or systems integration.
- Experience in a digital agency is a plus.
- Experience in higher education is desired.
- Experience with Salesforce or other customer relationship management tools (CRM) and Marketo or other marketing operations platforms is desired
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Knowledge /Qualification in agile project management methodologies is desired.
- A track record of successful and predictable delivery of on-time, to-budget, and to-specification projects
- Highly skilled at articulating how complex projects can be structured into phases and sprints
- Strong planning skills applied through project management technology
- Workfront and Asana experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience creating factual, concise and client-oriented verbal and written communications
- Strong analytical and conflict management resolution skills
- Ability to analyze, make decisions, prioritize, assess and mitigate risk
- Unrelenting focus on quality deliverables throughout project lifecycle (not just the end result)
- Experience communicating with several audience types, and the ability to tailor communications between clients, technical teams, management, senior leadership and more
- Comfortable working with complex marketing technology and digital marketing projects
- Proven decision-making capabilities, particularly in navigating competing or conflicting priorities
- Proven experience working with high-performing teams across multiple geographies and functions
- Ability to lead and manage cross-functional projects
- CSM, PSP-ACP or PMP certification desired
