In conjunction with and under the oversight of the Assistant Athletic Director for Strategic Ticketing and Sales, the Director of Marketing and Sales is responsible for marketing University of Richmond Athletics and increasing attendance at football, basketball, and select Olympic sports games.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Marketing:
Responsible for the development, execution, and oversight of the marketing plans for football, basketball and select Olympic sports games.
Assist the Assistant AD/Strategic Ticketing and Sales with meeting revenue and attendance goals.
Oversee and execute the Kids Club marketing plan by planning events, attending community appearances to increase membership, organizing the membership list, etc.
Oversee all marketing interns and student assistants .
Game Day Operations:
Assist the Assistant AD for Game Day Experience and Marketing Services with game day operations and promotions for marketing, enhancing game day atmosphere and fan experience by executing game day scripts, organizing presentations and groups, coordinating spirit groups with the video board and managing on field and on court in-game elements.
Organize and execute game day contests, entertainment, and promotions.
Oversee all intern and student assistants assisting with game day marketing operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A thorough knowledge of marketing, promotions, and sales strategies (as they pertain to college athletics) is required for this position.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to perform accurate detail-oriented work, the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population and strong interpersonal skills are required.
Adherence to all applicable NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations is required.
Requires work on weekends and nights during football, basketball, and lacrosse seasons
SALARY STRUCTURE:
Pay Grade 6 (Hiring Range $43,383.00 to $57,468.00 annually)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
A bachelor’s degree is required, a master’s degree is preferred.
Individual must have 3+ years of experience marketing intercollegiate athletics or professional sports
