Mid-Pacific Institute, under the leadership of VP of Institutional Advancement, is establishing the alignment of Enrollment Marketing & Strategic Communications for the entire Mid-Pacific community. The goal of this new position is to meet enrollment and philanthropic goals by crafting strategies and prioritizing resources through a comprehensive, future-oriented strategic enrollment management and philanthropic support. In addition, the department will create recruitment content for targeted populations. Under the leadership of the VP of Institutional Advancement, the Director of Marketing & Strategic Communications will lead, collaborate with, and inspire a team of strategists dedicated to advance the institutional mission.  We are seeking an accomplished leader, collaborator, and motivator who will serve a critical role in ushering Mid-Pacific Institute into its next era of student success and performance excellence through the development of branding process and strategies, innovative marketing campaigns, and strategic internal/external communication initiatives.  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing, fine arts, or other related fields .
• Excellent communication skills including publication-level writing and editing.
• Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends to support events.
• Ability to quickly assess unforeseen situations, use sound and thoughtful judgment to make decisions and problem-solve.
• 3+ years managing social media profiles on behalf of an organization, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and additional channels deemed relevant .
• Superior attention to detail, proofreading and editing skills.
• Leadership and supervisory experience, including demonstrated staff management skills.
• Commitment to working with a diverse and inclusive community.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Significant experience at various organizational levels in marketing, either in the private sector or higher education or preferably, both.
• Significant experience leading marketing professionals and teams.
• Demonstrated knowledge of full-funnel marketing for enrollment and advancement that integrates paid, earned and owned channels to reach key audiences.
• Demonstrated understanding of emerging marketing issues, particularly in higher education.
