ADD strategic business objective is to gain significant market share by 2025, which means that APAC will have to outgrow the market considerably to challenge the market leader. To achieve this, it is imperative to equip the organization with the right strategy, competitive insights, and tactics to improve win rates and customer retention.
A key organization gap is the capacity to effectively appraise market data, market trends and scenario planning to develop actionable strategies and tactics and to monitor the executional effect of achieving business objective. There is also a need to find new sources of growth that go beyond our traditional focus especially in the emerging markets. This role will play an important role in assessment and associated recommendations. This is not a pure consultative role - the ability to translate insights into actions in collaboration with others is key.
In addition, this role is expected to oversee marketing excellence - improving marketing skill and competency to enhance effectiveness and outcomes, in order to contribute strongly to the achievement of business objectives.
Set up a robust process to gather market information in a sustainable and structured manner
Competitive assessment including emerging non-traditional competitive threats
Make recommendations to leadership team to refine key business and marketing strategies including responses to competitive strategies and tactics
Lead specific strategic projects as defined by Area DVP and Marketing Director - one concrete one for this year is to assess growth opportunities in emerging markets
Produce quarterly insight report based on environmental scan
Run scenario planning workshops
Manage processes and analytics related to calculation and dissemination of market size, growth and market share trends in collaboration with global team
Relevant market research - execution and insight development
Develop and implement marketing capability enhancement plan in close collaboration with global marketing
Bachelor's degree in Life sciences, Engineering, Business or related disciplines.
MBA graduates (soon-to-be graduates or graduated in the past 1-2 years) preferred
4-6 years of working experience in Consulting/Marketing/Sales, with experience in Diagnostics/Healthcare/Pharma industry required
Demonstrated leadership capabilities and strong achievement in past work experience.
