Primary Objective of Position
The Marketing Manager Iberia is responsible for driving accelerated growth by increasing patient awareness and demand for Abbott Diabetes Care Division in Spain through development Freestyle Libre brand strategies with strong focus on PR and digital initiatives, both long term and short term, to help achieve FSL commercial goals.
Major Accountabilities. Main responsibilities include:
Develop marketing plans for new and existing products driving executions with excellence throughout her/his marketing team
Manage the day-to-day executions to meet volume and profit goals
Manage 4 senior direct reports in Spain (brand managers & customer experience manager) and 3 brand managers with strong dotted line in Portugal
Lead interactions with EMEAP partners and outside agencies (market research, creative, design and PR & communications) as needed for each project
Translate the stablished brand strategies into brand plans and go-to-market initiatives to ensure consistency of brand positioning across all touch points (Consumer/Digital & HCPs)
Identify business opportunities from analysing market trends, category, consumer, competitor reviews, sales data and market research results
Monitor all key initiatives with KPIs as well as key trends (category, consumer, competitor, HCP, digital). Evaluate progress to ensure on-track vs. expectations and adjust plans accordingly
Close interaction with Regional market research lead in order to evaluate market needs and conduct research when necessary
Creates professional business relationship with HCPs, Key Opinion Leaders, Medical Societies and Patient Associations / Bloggers
Monitors new product launch throughout the process, digital execution and HCP execution
Provide right & truthful feedback and analysis to top management to monitor this high strategic business
Coach direct report(s) and work closely with multi-functional team partners to get the best from everyone
Responsible for the accurate implementation of the Marketing A&P budget in terms of timings and versus Plan on monthly basis in coordination with Brand Managers and the marketing assistant
Bachelor's Degree in Business/engineer or Science is preferred with numerical background (mandatory)
MBA strongly preferred
English proficiency is mandatory
8-10-year experience in marketing managing teams (HealthCare or OTC)
Previous sales experience will be valuable
Expertise in Excel, Power Point, Financial / numerical acumen and ROI (mandatory)
Digital marketing experience is required
Must have ability to analyse and develop marketing plans from abstract ideas
Proven understanding of effective brand positioning and creative strategy
Demonstrated success working on multiple projects simultaneously from inception through completion
Willingness to get the job done and commitment to challenging the status-quo
Solid understanding of Industry rules and regulations
Strong interpersonal relations, relationship building skills & customer focus
Team player with demonstrated ability to lead and influence others in the team outside of their direct-reporting lines
High stress, tolerance and adaptability
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, and be able to present information in a dynamic way
