Job Title: Marketing and Admissions Manager

Atlanta Girls’ School is the only nonsectarian independent school for girls in Atlanta, serving girls in grades 6–12. AGS authentically lives its mission by providing a challenging college-preparatory program in a learning environment designed to foster the full potential of each student and to enable her to become a vital contributor to our complex global society.  

Position Overview

The Marketing and Admissions Manager is a key member of the Office of Enrollment Management and will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing activities designed to attract, enroll, and retain students to the school. As an integral member of the Atlanta Girls’ School’s enrollment management team, this individual will also work closely with colleagues, students, parents, and constituency groups to promote the school and help manage all aspects of the admissions process from inquiry to enrollment. Additionally, The Marketing and Admissions Manager will partner with the Director of Enrollment Management to develop and execute the strategic marketing and communication plan. The primary focus is to tell the unique story of Atlanta Girls’ School internally and externally to inform and increase awareness of the school, generate interest and demand among prospective families, strengthen our institutional brand and reputation, and raise visibility nationally and internationally.

Reports to:  Director of Enrollment Management

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Admissions Operations Responsibilities:

• Oversees use of Ravenna, AGS’s admission management software, including database functions, application setup, and applicant experience
• Assists all enrollment management team members with project management, utilizing digital tools
• Manages contract processes for new and re-enrolling students in conjunction with the business office
• Manages communication functions of Blackbaud, AGS’s family, student, and faculty portal
• Supports enrollment management team members and special groups such as the admission committee and retention committee through the preparation of reports and materials
• Coordinates events including an annual Open House, virtual and in-person information sessions throughout the year, and other events

Marketing and Communications Responsibilities:

• Utilizes Adobe Creative Suite or similar software to produce collateral including advertisements, campus signage, and digital assets
• Manages photography and videography, including use of contracted vendors as needed
• Manages official AGS social media accounts
• Manages production of the school’s weekly parent newsletter, quarterly community newsletters, and other email communications initiatives
• Executes email marketing for admissions, summer camp, and community relations, primarily utilizing MailChimp
• Works with director to establish and execute media and advertising strategy
• May assist with website maintenance

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in a related area
• 3-5 years related professional experience
• Experience in marketing software platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite, MailChimp, WordPress, and social media management tools
• Proficiency in Ravenna, Blackbaud, or other student information and/or admissions software strongly preferred
• Expertise with project management software preferred
• Excellent written communication skills
• Ability to interact professionally with prospective students and families, enrolled students and families, and faculty and staff
