Concord Academy, an independent boarding and day school for grades 9 through 12 located in Concord, Massachusetts, seeks an Associate Director of Marketing & Communications to join its team of talented, creative professionals. The Associate Director of Marketing and Communications will produce leading edge marketing and communications across all mediums, direct complex and multi-faceted projects, and manage the brand messaging that brings to life the mission and values and vitality of the school. We are seeking a professional who is masterful with building consensus and cultivating partnerships with colleagues and peers with leadership and professionalism. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Associate Director of Marketing & Communications will join a small, creative team and will assist with supervising the team’s day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate brings a creative, collaborative spirit and a healthy sense of humor.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following areas:
Content Management - Manage, produce, and edit the written and multimedia content and support an integrated content strategy for all high profile communications platforms including but not limited to: CA’s website, news platforms, photo slideshows, videos, and other storytelling mediums. Manage the school’s digital news and social media storytelling on all existing and new platforms.
Media Relations - Facilitate and cultivate press relations and story promotion and advertising.
Brand Management - Manage brand voice and identity messaging for the school’s various internal and external publications.
Project Management - Manage clients and major project timelines with a high level of customer service and collaborative spirit. Manage and assign outside contractors for photography, video, and design.
Special Projects - Oversee special communications and marketing projects as assigned by the Director of Communications and Marketing.
Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
Fluent in GSuite, and website content management systems (ie. Wordpress).
Proficiency in print and design, photo, and multimedia editing tools.
Experience with email and digital marketing communication tools.
Exercises sound judgment as a final reviewer and approver.
Adept at prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to consistently provide a high level of customer service and responsiveness.
Ability to be mobile in a multi-story building and attend meetings throughout campus.
Extended periods of sitting, standing, and working at the computer.
5+ years of experience in communications or related fields.
Some travel, weekends and evenings may be required.
Chartered in 1922, Concord Academy enrolls approximately 400 boarding and day students from 10 countries and territories and 15 states. Salary is commensurate with experience, and this position is benefits eligible.
