The Senior Writer is a key member of the Keck Medicine of USC Marketing & Communications officeâs Content team who brings considerable experience to the development of editorial marketing content and collateral pieces. An individual with excellent project management and organizational/operational skills, the Senior Writer works directly with clients to advise, create and modify editorial marketing pieces that advance the needs of the health system. The Senior Writer is able to interpret editorial direction from clients and leadership, especially as it pertains to larger marketing strategies and initiatives. This position requires an ability to collaborate with marketing and creative teams to present content in new and creative ways, such as interactive stories, graphics and videos.
Minimum Education:â¢Bachelorâs degree required. Communications, marketing or a related field degree highly preferredMinimum Experience/Knowledge:â¢Minimum 5 yearsâ experience in an editorial/writing role. â¢Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills. â¢Ability to follow AP Style and Keck Medicine editorial standards. â¢Proven research and writing skills under pressure and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines. â¢Prefer proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign. â¢Requires mastery of all pertinent programs in Microsoft Office suite. Required License/Certification:â¢Fire and Safety Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date (Required within LA City only).
