The Office of Marketing & Communications drives the University's efforts in public relations, marketing and advertising, Internet and digital communications, publications, and brand, issues, crisis and reputation management.
The individual works as a key member of the Office of Marketing & Communications, which is charged with protecting and elevating the reputation of Yeshiva University, and conveying its messages, mission and vision to the community and broader world. The individual, reporting to the Vice President and Chief Marketing & Communications Officer, helps lead the University's publications and editorial staff, social media strategy and execution and digital media. The Director will oversee a team of communications and web professionals.
Manage editorial staff in the publication of YU Materials (i.e. President Report, YU Today, View From YU, YU News Blogs)
Manage Social Media content, distribution, strategy
Manage Photo and Video internal/external resources
Point person with Office Of The President on crisis, key initiatives, presidential correspondence
Manage social media accounts on behalf of selected schools/programs.
Oversee the University Internet and keep content compelling and up to date.
Experience & Educational Background:
10+ years of communications experience
Bachelor's or master's degree in marketing or related field preferred
Experienced in agency management and budgeting
Skills & Competencies:
Must be a strong leader and manager
Excellent writing skills and a strong creative background
Adept at social media with excellent judgment in online engagement
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Ability to manage multiple internal and external relationships at varying levels
Able to work independently and collaboratively in a creative, fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with higher education and Jewish community a plus
