Directs the overall functions and activities of the Marketing and Communications Department. Manages and supervises personnel within the Marketing and Communications Department and is responsible for the development and execution of formal communication programs directed both internally and externally. Manages the development and execution of externally directed advertising and promotions, internal communications and publications, graphic design, marketing research, brand management, social media platforms, sales function and community relations. Directs the development of the marketing strategy for the organization in support of the Authority’s Mission and Vision.Participates in organization-wide strategic planning process. Practices safety precautions and measures at all times. This position will promote a safe and secure atmosphere, follow all safety and security rules and perform other related duties as assigned.
Applicants must have a Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field. A Master Degree is preferred. Applicants must have a total of ten (10) years of experience within a marketing environment. The experience must include progressively responsible duties conducting market analysis studies, developing and implementing major marketing plans, developing marketing strategies as well as negotiating and managing an advertising agency contract. Retail marketing experience is preferred. Experience must also include five (5) years supervising personnel in a marketing environment.
