The Associate Manager, Trade Marketing Operations will provide both operations and budget management support to the Wine & Spirits Trade Marketing team. This role plays an integral part in the National Point-of-Sale (POS) ordering and fulfillment process. Key aspects include the approval of purchase orders, creating order details and spend reports for Sales and Finance, and development and execution of supplemental Ordering Windows. This role partners with a 3rd party vendor to manage the Ordering Portal and fulfillment (shipping) of POS to market. As a skilled communicator, this role partners with Trade Marketing, Sales, creative agencies and vendors. Strong analytical thinking and project management will ensure financial responsibility of the teamâs success in delivering POS to our vast Sales team and distributor network.
POS Ordering Process and Fulfillment
Manage the ordering portal for all National POS ordering windows, including partnering with a 3rd party vendor to set up the window and receive order detail summaries
Create and communicate all National POS order rollup and spend reports with Sales and Finance
Assist in strategic POS planning and retail programming process to determine supplemental POS ordering needs
Create ordering timelines by partnering with vendors, creative agencies, Procurement and Trade Marketing
Own the supplemental Ordering Windows process including item tracker, ordering portal setup, Sales communication, order detail summaries and reporting
Determine fulfillment plan for POS based on Sales needs and fiscal responsibilities
Own the contact list for distributor POS managers, Sales and other key stakeholders
Utilize ERP system (SAP Ariba) to review and manage approval process of all National POS purchase orders and invoices
Assist in ad hoc purchase orders management
Determine POS budget breakouts by Sales regions and states, utilizing both historical and forecasting details
Assist in the management of over/underspend implications with Sales Finance
Bachelorâs degree, including 3+ yearsâ work experience in the following: marketing and/or operations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written
Strong financial acumen
Advanced MS Office experience, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
Strong project management experience with meticulous attention to detail
Continuous improvement mindset, ability to recognize opportunities to simplify processes and create efficiencies
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability
Highly motivated, change-oriented, and able to adapt to rapidly changing priorities
Ability to multi-task, demonstrate a sense of urgency and ability to get things done in a fast-paced environment
Ability to prioritize work, meet tight deadlines, and manage time effectively
CPG or Beverage Alcohol experience strongly preferred
Experience working with ERP systems (SAP Ariba, JDE, etc.)
Experience in operations role that involved process management, logistics planning and reporting
