Our location in Lake Forest, IL currently has an opportunity for a Marketing Director. The Marketing Director leads the establishment of the marketing vision, annual objectives, goals, strategies and key initiatives for the marketing organization.The role is responsible for global long-and-short term strategic planning and execution of programs across relevant commercial channels to deliver on goals & P&L commitments of the business
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead long-term (3-5yr) and short-term (annual) strategic planning (where to play, how to win, 4Ps), including analysis, recommendation, and presentation of proposed strategies to senior leadership
Be the voice of the customer within the organization and partner with market insights to lead market research & intelligence efforts that inform strategy and tactical choices from the market & customers
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives, including but not limited to field sales force, technology, legal, regulatory, medical affairs, public affairs, executive management, creative department, vendors, retailers, and health care professionals.
Develop a high-performing strategic marketing organization where applicable, including hiring and talent developing, own succession, and succession across key management layers
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Minimum 10 years of experience with progressive responsibility in a combination of healthcare, diagnostics, brand management; consumer-packaged goods and/or healthcare marketing
Strong thought leadership, written, and verbal communication skills with proven ability to interact directly with executive leadership to drive strategy and investment decisions
Outstanding problem solving skills using out-of-box thinking to address unique challenges
Demonstrated ability to lead, develop teams, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Proven ability to develop and execute complex strategic business & marketing plans
Experience in leading upstream and/or downstream marketing function in previous roles
Expertise in insight-based strategic marketing communications development
Familiarity with primary and secondary market research and data analysis
Experience and proficiency with P&L / budget management
BS/BA in Marketing or related field
10-15 years of experience
