This position is responsible for the paid media execution for Marriott’s Digital Services group, which creates and supports comprehensive in-house digital media services participating hotels globally. These centralized offerings provide individual hotels with paid media services, and functions in an agency-like model within the Marriott Digital Services organization.
The Digital Analyst, Media will assist in the execution of paid media tactics that support the objectives outlined in each client’s media brief and overall objectives. He/she will be responsible for overseeing all current digital media advertising strategies, optimizing for increased visits, leads, conversion and testing new platforms to reach the target audience. All tactics will be economically viable, efficient, repeatable, KPI-driven, and scalable.
The Digital Analyst, Media is tasked with staying up to date on industry best-practices and works to implement new ideas, techniques and tactics within the MDS Media team. He or she will work cross-functionally with various Marriott Digital and Global media teams to advance the value of paid media marketing at the hotel level. This role includes collaboration with Manager(s), Sr. Analyst(s), vendors with the implementation of paid media tactics across client campaigns and for special projects. This position reports to the Senior Manager, MDS Media.
Education and Experience
BS/BA degree in marketing, advertising, communications, journalism, public relations, or related field.
1-2 years of relevant work experience required (paid media campaign management and digital marketing are preferred).
Agency internship or work experience preferred, tactical execution responsibilities a plus.
Experience marketing B2C and B2B a plus.
Prior experience in a high paced, evolving environment.
Ability to be flexible and resilient with changing company needs.
Managing Work, Projects, and Policies
Manages execution of all day-to-day paid media related tactics that support the overarching Marriott Digital strategies and goals.
Execute & optimize all digital advertising campaigns including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Google, and LinkedIn.
Focuses execution activities on changing areas of importance, need and priority, as directed by MDS Media leadership.
Effectively prioritizes workload to accomplish a variety of tasks for multiple Media Manager(s), Senior Analyst(s), and manages the flow of questions and directs inquiries to the appropriate party.
Manage & report on all digital acquisition metrics weekly, monthly & quarterly (i.e., CPC, CTR, CPA, CPM) for all online ad campaigns.
Meet aggressive lead and conversion goals to continue raising advertising budget.
Develop, design, and deploy new campaigns, collaborating with other team members and cross-functional stakeholders for various elements.
Provide strategic perspective and keyword performance insights, engage in content & creative development.
Contribute to cross-platform A/B testing development for landing pages, lead forms, and related tactics.
Executes regional specific or in-language paid media strategies supporting Marriott’s global hotel websites.
Evaluates, audits and reviews deliverables from in-house partners, vendors, agencies and freelancers for accuracy, quality guidelines and standards; manages updates as necessary.
Assists in prioritizing, organizing, and accomplishing work within MDS Media team.
Supporting Operations & Client Engagement
Works with the team to execute sustainable work processes that supports the overall Operations team.
Employs the project request system and other resources in place to track tactical work for Digital Services programs.
Utilizes internal Marriott reporting and content management systems, as well as outside vendor dashboards and tools.
Establishes and maintains documentation to track progress and completion for applicable digital tactics.
Assists in creating training guidelines and documentation (as needed) to continually improve paid media tactic quality and effectiveness.
Attends and participates in all relevant meetings.
Maintains positive working relations with internal partner teams, vendors, internal Client Service and Operations teams.
Manages time effectively and conducts activities in an organized manner.
Complies and keeps paid media guideline documentation and standards up to date, to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to Marriott’s global digital media strategy.
Performs other reasonable duties as assigned by manager.
Measurement and Analytics
Analyzes campaign performance; provides tactical recommendations for increased performance.
Assists in identifying advertising channels that are most effective at driving visits, conversions, efficiencies, and scale across MDS media services.
Measures the success of time-sensitive content using appropriate key performance indicator (KPI) classifications – impressions, clicks, CTR, CPC, CPA, CPM, etc.
Reviews and analyzes results from current program offerings & suggests changes and enhancements to help increase client engagement.
