The Director of Marketing and External Communications is housed within the Dean's Advancement/Development office. It is the unit responsible for external communications, marketing and fundraising. The primary purpose of the unit is to raise the visibility of the School of Social Work and to secure funding through private gifts and grants.
The incumbent reports directly to the Associate Dean for Advancement/Development. The incumbent will supervise two marketing and communications staff: Visual Arts Specialist/JRNY (#00061345) and Public Communications Specialist/CTB (#00061345). Consulting with the Associate Dean for Advancement/Development, the Dean and the Office of Student Affairs, this position will strategically and efficiently develop budgets, monitor spending and track expenditures for all marketing, branding and fundraising events. This position will oversee the Dean's office staff and the development team to successfully achieve fundraising goals through fundraising events from inception to completion.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
