The Marketing and Communications department is seeking a digital content producer to bring the School???s vision, thought leadership, and strategic priorities to life in a meaningful and engaging way. Reporting to the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer (CMCO), this individual work is as a creative storyteller who closely works with the with the head of content and other stakeholders within Columbia Business School and the Marketing and Communications team to develop exciting and innovative content across mediums.
Create concepts and designs for new digital initiatives, working closely with the head of content and CMCO. Work closely with team members and other internal stakeholders to research and identify story ideas.
Deliver highly engaging content across channels and mediums, including video, audio, podcasts, infographics, and support social posts, white paper, and blogs.
Manage pre-production process, including storyboarding, scripts, scheduling, conducting, and analyzing interviews, location scouting, vendor management, timelines, etc.
Develop and manage content capture and on-site shoots. Manage all aspects of post-production process, including video graphics, titles, music, and creative look of shows, in conjunction with our in-house designer.
Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet all CBS editorial standards.
Monitor and track industry trends and stay updated on and proficient in relevant technology.
Other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor???s degree and/or its equivalent required. Minimum 3-5 years related experience required.
Must have experience writing, editing, and producing stories and other content across various media and channels. Must be able to develop and produce stories or content via video, photo, audio, and/or, text and interact effectively with all levels of School leadership. Collaborative mindset is essential. Strong writing and editing skills with demonstrated ability to write clearly and concisely; excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail. Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven, collaborative environment needed. Deep knowledge of video editing, graphic design, and web design tools and software required. Familiarity with social media platforms and standards needed. Ability to work within the Drupal content management system necessary. Ability to work occasional weekends and evenings required.
