The Coin Laundry Association is looking for a seasoned marketing & communications leader to join its executive team. Small, but mighty, we are passionate, hard-working, and believe in the power of associations. The DoMC will create, direct, and execute the organization’s strategic marketing & communications plan and lead day-to-day marketing initiatives for Coin Laundry Association and its LaundryCares Foundation, PlanetLaundry and CLA Insurance brands. This entrepreneurial-spirited professional will lead the charge to expand our audiences, engage members in valuable ways, and drive revenue for the organization. We’re looking for someone experienced, smart, innovative, and team oriented.
Key Areas of Responsibility
The Big Picture
Provide overall strategic and operational leadership for all marketing and communications efforts.
Direct and manage multiple company websites.
Budget, manage and direct all marketing and communications functions:
Media relations and brand management
Website development and updates
Manage a small team of employees and outside agencies/vendors
Expand our audiences
Design and execute member acquisition and retention campaigns
Advance our data integration to better understand our current members and customers
Engage our members in meaningful ways
Develop an overarching content strategy and oversee management
Design and integrate a segmentation strategy to provide relevant, valuable content to our members and external audiences
Engage in the dialogue of CLA’s on-line community as an ambassador of CLA
Drive revenue for the organization
Co-design revenue development strategy for memberships, products and services, events, sponsorships, and advertising.
E-commerce sales of membership, products and services, events
Manage sales for advertising and sponsorship
Create marketing assets needed to support sales and company goals
Skills & Qualifications
Communications “pro” who can apply strategic thinking to multiple company brands with an emphasis on providing value to members and the profession we serve, while also generating revenue for the organization.
Well-versed in digital marketing channels and experienced in audience development, lead conversion, e-commerce, social media and paid campaigns, email marketing, graphic design, content marketing and innovative product/service campaigns.
Solid working knowledge of Hubspot, AMS (CRM), and other technology platforms
Experience in digital & print publications; management support of dedicated sales person responsible for paid advertising and sponsored content sales
Solid acumen in Social Media platforms, specifically LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter
Strong and effective written and oral communications skills
Demonstrated creative and copywriting skills to support marketing and communications assets
Excellent people skills, with experience collaborating in multi-disciplinary team
A team leader and player willing to “roll up their sleeves”
10+ years’ experience in B2B marketing, e-marketing, and sales
Coin Laundry Association is a 501c6 trade association serving the self-service laundromat industry. CLA supports the industry with education, advocacy, products, and services – and opportunities to network with peers.
