This is a great opportunity for someone with a background or interest in Plant Science or Entomology looking to develop a career in marketing. As an Associate Marketing Manager (Journals) at OUP, you’ll lead and direct strategy on associated journal lists, based on departmental goals and objectives.
You will have responsibility for:
Development and implementation of strategic marketing plans, for key journal lists (and key high value products)
Communication with key stakeholders
In alignment with team objectives, leading and directing campaigns
Development and implementation of key content strategies
Analysis, regularly reporting on performance against KPI's and critical measures of performance and effectiveness
Development and implementation of third-party event/conference strategies
Market knowledge, developing and implementing best practice channel and campaign analysis
This exciting Marketing position will give you the chance to learn about journals management. You must demonstrate an aptitude for marketing and should have an interest in societies with a focus on science.
You will have:
Knowledge of or be passionate about Plant Science and/or Entomology
Strong analytical skills
Proven effective communication with external and external customers – negotiation and influencing
Proven ability to build strong relationships both internally and with external stakeholders.
Well organized with excellent time-management skills and the ability to prioritize a busy workload.
A strong sense of initiative with the ability to make appropriate suggestions for improvements to strategic development plans and working practices.
Ability to embrace change, and remain positive under pressure.
Enjoy working autonomously as well as with the support of an interactive team.
Strategic understanding of, and experience in, marketing
Proven understanding of, and experience in, marketing to a range of audiences
Experience in publishing
Location: Hybrid, this position can be located in Cary, NC or New York and you will need to be in the office 2-3 times per month .
