We are searching for an Enrollment & Marketing Manager to join the Executive Education, Tepper School of Business team. You will contribute to the department by independently coordinating departmental communications and becoming the primary interface with Tepper Marketing & Communication as well as the Tepper Computing to assist with the database marketing, lead generation, lead nurturing, lead qualification, and Salesforce campaign management processes within the department. This position will provide oversight of our data inputs within Salesforce and manage the reporting and dashboard development for communicating to stakeholders within and external to the Tepper School of Business.
This position will also engage with key staff, including the Associate Director, Marketing and Communications to support business development and enrollment management. Working closely with the Executive Director, Senior Director, the Director of Corporate and Custom Programs, and the Director for Global Open Enrollment, the Enrollment & Marketing Manager will support the strategies for growing open and online programs in local, regional, national, and global environments. This position is tasked with building and executing marketing and direct email campaigns, in addition to managing the responses received within the department's general inbox. The Enrollment & Marketing Manager will also support department efforts to remain compliant with Carnegie Mellon University policies regarding data management and the use of payment systems. Responsibilities also include promotion and cross-selling of custom programs within the Tepper Executive Education portfolio.
Core responsibilities will include:
Manage departmental communications for outreach to recruit executive education participants and client companies.
Directs top of funnel lead generation, marketing activities, and associated business operations including enrollment/recruiting/yielding activities, the creation and maintenance of open enrollment calendars and codified plans.
Advises prospective participants about the registration process, additional programs and/or supplemental extracurricular offerings. Meets with visiting prospective participants to answer program related questions and qualify fit/interest.
Annually leads the creation of appropriate presentations and talking points for the Executive Education team to ensure that key messages are consistently being communicated to prospective participants
Directs marketing activities and business operations that relate to print, digital and social initiatives, including the creation and maintenance of a marketing calendar and codified marketing tactics. Ensures that appropriate programs and events are being promoted through various channels (including the Tepper website, and social media accounts, etc.).
Collaborate with the college's marketing team on the creation of new assets and digital content (photographs, videos, printed collateral, downloadable documents) for marketing and communications.
Enrollment Management/Lead Nurturing
Manages CRM system for Tepper Executive Education, overseeing all aspects of the CRM including the development of email campaigns and event promotion. Will ensure that effective email content represents the unique attributes of a given Open Enrollment program and addresses needs of participants as they move through the enrollment funnel. Determines strategy for A/B testing, assess open rates, conversions and other marketing-related metrics. Measures effectiveness of email campaigns and activities through data evaluation. Will take action to improve these metrics where necessary. Will work closely with marketing to ensure that leads entering the CRM are coded appropriately to ensure attribution can be made to marketing efforts that will inform marketing plan and expenditure. Ensures adherence to Carnegie Mellon University policies regarding data management and the use of payment systems.
Implement projects using the project management technology tool (currently Hive).
Oversee regular posts on Exec Ed LinkedIn and other Social Media pages.
Manage and monitor leads lists and conversion activities for upcoming programs.
Assist with development of new programs, market studies, needs assessments.
Conduct research activities for meeting preparation - profiles on companies and executives, CMU alumni involvement and other leadership or background information.
Conduct research on resources available to enhance programs (case studies, simulations, online activities, etc.) and pricing information to support budgeting for new programs.
Serves in project management role in working the Tepper School's marketing team for the development of key marketing collateral (print, web, social media) - Teasers, Event collateral, Executive Education website content, and other promotional material to ensure delivery of pieces on a timetable that enables Tepper Executive Education to most effectively use the materials.
Works with our contracted advertising agency to manage our general and/or program advertising campaigns. Provides feedback to agency on campaign content and performance. Coordinates the integration of these activities with Salesforce. Will ensure tracking and measurement is captured in Salesforce, as appropriate, and will report on the outcomes to inform subsequent campaigns.
Works with Executive Director and Directors to set an integrated marketing and communications strategy and associated marketing tactics to realize objectives of Tepper Executive Education.
Works with Executive Director to ensure marketing tactics align with the Tepper School's brand identity and messages.

Ability to develop marketing and communication plans/campaigns with measurable outcomes;
Ability to articulate and advocate executive training offerings to an external audience.

Advanced degree preferred, but significant work experience (7+ years) valued higher.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with Educational LMS platforms, Qualtrics, Adobe, Salesforce, Pardot, and HTML preferred
Experience working with agencies preferred
Experience with Oracle financials and Workday preferred
Flexibility for evening/weekend hours and ability to travel required
