Marketing and Communication is seeking a Senior Manager, Digital Content to join our team.
The Senior Manager will be a subject matter expert in the areas of website content strategy, content creation, and information architecture, working directly with university units to help identify their site goals, content structure and execution plan. Consults across the division, and across the university, working with leaders, faculty and students to fulfill shared goals.
Core responsibilities will include:
Provide content strategy and information architecture for new and existing university web properties
Build websites and webpages within university content management systems, including choosing appropriate visuals and copyediting with attention to web writing best practices
Site planning and information architecture. Creates a site plan to achieve those goals and meet audience needs.
Reviews new sites' goals, audiences, objectives and any related metrics.
Identifies key metrics required to evaluate content performance
Understands SEO, and works with writers and analysts to provide advice on optimization.
Ensures that all marketing assets are consistent with overall business objectives and reflects university's style and voice. Ensures white hat SEO tactics are implemented in content publishing

You should demonstrate:
Excellent writing and editing skills
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Knowledge of SEO best practices
Knowledge of information architecture best-practices
Experience working directly with clients and helping them achieve their content goals
Experience working with Google Analytics or other analytics platform

Bachelor's degree is required. A degree in digital marketing, communications or other relevant field is preferred.
A combination of 5-8 years of experience is required in the following areas:
Project Management (experience managing small to large scale projects)
Experience in higher education is preferred
Experience managing and mentoring team members (direct supervision preferred; indirect supervision considered)
