The Retail and Marketing Sales Specialist (RMSS) will develop and implement online marketing programs and strategies to increase sales and revenue for our retail locations. This position will apply digital marketing strategies to increase the online presence of content and products. This position will also develop and implement the company’s web-based marketing strategy, promoting the company’s brand, attracting customers to the retail sites, and generating potential leads and internet sales. The RMSS is also responsible for retail duties such as assisting customers with sales and addressing customer questions and concerns.
Develops and maintains positive business relationships with new and existing customers.
Consults with owners and managers to understand the goals and scope of the desired marketing program.
Develops innovative strategies to attract customers to our brand through various web-based marketing programs and search engine optimization (SEO) techniques.
Identifies appropriate social media platforms and other web-based tools to use in the promotion of each product or service. Creates digital marketing for websites, emails, social media, and blogs.
Oversees the implementation of proposed online marketing plans for multiple clients; compiles and analyzes data to measure the effectiveness of such plans.
Identifies and recommends improvements and modifications to existing programs, as well as additional or new marketing strategies and opportunities.
Assists with the development of the organization’s own website to ensure its efficiency and efficacy.
Collects search engine and web traffic analytics; reviews data for patterns, then makes recommendations for optimal site exposure based on this data.
Implements and optimizes analytics tools to track the behavior of site visitors.
Works with customers to assess their needs and make appropriate recommendations on products. Cross-sells and Upsell products.
Reviews industry data and materials to remain knowledgeable on the products offered and options available to customers.
Partners with local car clubs/groups and racetracks to advertise and generate sales leads. Attends auto events for lead generation.
Gathers data on competitors and analyze their prices, sales, and method of marketing and distribution.
Collect and analyze data on customer demographics, preferences, needs, and buying habits to identify potential markets and factors affecting product demand.
Consults with customers to determine their needs and demonstrates and explains available merchandise, selecting and suggesting options suitable for the customer’s needs. Assists customers with the purchase decisions.
Processes returns and exchanges. Assist customers with telephone and Internet orders.
Retrieves desired merchandise from the sales floor, stock room, or other inventory; places special orders where appropriate and required.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Thorough understanding of Internet marketing, as well as general marketing strategies.

Education and Experience:
The Ideal Candidate will have knowledge of the auto industry and B2C, B2B sales.
Course work in Business Marketing, Communication, or related field required. Candidates who have completed their degree in marketing, communications, or sales will be given additional consideration.
At least one year of Internet marketing experience, with a proven and verifiable record of accomplishments, is required.
Experience growing business and driving retail traffic through marketing campaigns.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Occasional periods of extended standing during events.
Occasional periods of working in an outdoor setting for periods of time.
Bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting will be required when moving inventory.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
