The Associate Director, Marketing Optimization / Channels is responsible for implementing upstream strategic marketing optimization capabilities that support Omnichannel Material Approval Process (MAP), enabling modular content in an agile development approach. Key priorities include defining MAP strategy, execution, and encouraging key growth brand(s), to define asset approval & update process inside existing and new commercial structures, templates, and experimentation strategies; with the long-term goal of learn, iterate, and scale to entire US Pharma business!
The successful candidate will have expert knowledge of omnichannel marketing, digital distribution channels, and the ability to operational capabilities that enable assets to be efficiently reviewed through the Material Approval Process (MAP), re-used, and revised, while reducing effort of all stakeholders while increasing content volume.
This opportunity is located at the Novartis East Hanover site, and will not have the ability to be located remotely.
What you will be responsible for? Business solutions design * Align with channel strategists, advertising agencies, and brand teams to support the adoption, creation, and nurturing of channel templates - email, banner ads, social media, websites, etc. * Partner with project teams to define MAP process & best practices with a try, learn, fix, repeat approach * Enable strategies that allow for rapid content changes due to market or regulatory dynamics * Create & manage process documentation to enable replicability, training, audit
Enable Scalability & Automation * Support groundbreaking change in an agile environment, focusing on key brands/results, proving impact, then growing/automating the capability * Convert manual, complex, or repetitive approval processes into requirements/user stories that will enable effort reduction through automation * Collaborate with the IT, Aprimo MLR/DAM & Modular Content, and CDP teams to ensure business requirements are met; Systems testing/validation
Change Management * Train early adopting cross-functional teams * Communicate best practices via guidance documentation and playbooks * Collaborate with training lead to inform marketing & advertising agency onboarding program to sustain capabilities & fuse change * Develop presentations, prepare training aids, leave-behind quick reference guides * Build Work Practice Document (WPD) and related system instructions
Success Metrics * Define and measure success - Adoption, utilization, impact on MAP performance (quality, effort, speed) with support of Analytics SME
Communication/Collaboration * Ability to simplify complex concepts into themes to drive adoption * Engage stakeholders and SMEs proactively, acting in service to commercial success * Solicit feedback from internal and external stakeholder to continuously improve * Exemplify Novartis Values & Behaviors
Project Management * Lead special projects or cross-functional work streams as vital * Act as subject matter expert as needed to represent MAP Team
