Create a meaningful student-athlete, fan and stakeholder experience by driving ticket sales and attendance for NCAA championships and associated fan events. This position will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to promote NCAA championship tickets, leveraging paid, earned, and channels to build awareness, generate leads, manage the customer journey, and drive attendance.
Manage the ticket marketing, sales and operations efforts to increase awareness and attendance for assigned NCAA championships, creating a meaningful and enhanced student-athlete, fan, and stakeholder experience.
Collaborate with partners to develop, communicate, and execute marketing strategies for assigned championships.
Create and execute marketing plans that consider all promotional channels (earned, owned, and paid) and stages of the marketing funnel, includes strategies for media placement, and grassroots marketing opportunities on a local, regional, and national basis.
Manage and advise on the marketing efforts of NCAA partners (hosts, sports commissions, national governing bodies, coach’s associations) to drive awareness and attendance.
Effectively manage resources, opportunities, and channels to promote NCAA ticketed events, partnering with NCAA staff as necessary to activate on NCAA platforms.
Collaborate with external partners (e.g., broadcasters, corporate partners) on marketing initiatives and opportunities.
Manage agency plan development, activation and budget.
Develop and oversee production of marketing collateral.
Collaborate with ticket operations staff on marketing and pricing strategies.
Attend championship site visits to develop and communicate marketing plans as necessary.
Participate in, and create actionable responses to, NCAA research for select championships.
Provide regular updates and a comprehensive recap of marketing, ticket sales and operations efforts and results.
Manage budgets based on priorities and areas of emphasis.
Other marketing, ticketing and operations responsibilities as assigned.
Two-three years (professional/full-time) experience, with at least one year in sports/event promotion and/or marketing.
Knowledge and experience with digital marketing strategies and platforms, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other email management platform.
Experience organizing and analyzing marketing data.
