Based at Stryker's European Office in Amsterdam, this role will be positioned on the ProCare Services leadership team. This person will formulate, direct and coordinate upstream and downstream marketing activities to expand and grow ProCare services revenue and operating income for the Surgical, Endoscopy, and Head and Neck divisions in Europe.
Your key responsibilities
In alignment with global strategy, sets annual and long-range brand/indications strategy to achieve required growth, profit and market share targets
Creates/distributes scalable assets, tools, marketing campaigns ("menu") and best practices which can be localized for maximum impact
Identifies education, brand experience and customer engagement opportunities for both internal and external audiences to increase brand perception and value
Development of trust and strong relationships with LOCAL marketers, sales professionals, internal stakeholders, and key customers (KOL)
In collaboration with the Divisional/Portfolio Marketing/Local Marketing teams Creation of Annual Marketing Plan and portfolio roadmap over 3-5 year horizon
Work in partnership with local Service and Sales Leaders in a complex matrix organization, influencing and ensuring execution of the pan European strategies
Evaluates and optimizes customer segmentation to meet both current and prospective customer needs.
Implements strategy to identify and establish relationships with new KOLs to provide impactful feedback on business strategy.
Coaches others on the full spectrum of approaches and tools for conducting market research.
Continually monitors and evaluates current market strategy and makes recommendations on new source of volume strategies.
Establishes multi-channel strategies for diverse products, services, and markets.
Designs alternative approaches for determining revenue and profit potential given different pricing approaches.
Guides teams in linking the marketing budget to customer acquisition and retention objectives.
Develops an effective KPI strategy for the business.
Develops key relationships with industry/market thought leaders, organizations, and institutions, in collaboration with other marketing leaders.
Leads/Manages other ProCare marketing professionals: develops employees, which includes hiring, communicating company policies, coaching and counseling, administering performance appraisals, and enforcing company policies through appropriate disciplinary measures.
Leads commercialization of new product launches (acquired products and existing products)
Ensures commercial and operational activities across Europe market are coordinated and cohesive, helping to drive agreed upon goals and strategies
Expert for marketing, brand and wider business practices related to ProCare Services
Sets strategy for continual growth through internal and external education strategies, customer engagement campaigns, Annual Marketing Plan in partnership with other ProCare and Divisional Marketing/Commercial Stakeholders
Acts independently to perform required tasks to ensure all provisions of the quality system are met
What are we looking for?
10+ years of work experience required
7+ years medical device or marketing/sales experience preferred
4+ years of people management experience preferred
Excellent presentation and interpersonal communications skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering on established timelines
Ability to be highly influential and persuasive in the absence of organizational authority
Must be able to understand and work within complex interdivisional procedures and policies
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Marketing, Engineering, Life Science or relevant field (Masters or MBA highly desirable)
Proven successful track record in leading marketing projects incl. marketing plans, product launches and campaigns within healthcare industry
Ability to clearly and confidently set direction in short and long term
Strong track record as leader of cross-functional projects, ability to build and maintain cross-functional as well as cross-geographical relationships
Strategic thinking with hands-on mentality, develops and champions new ideas, challenges the status quo
Ability to design, collect, analyze, summarize and communication key data points using Excel and/ or Power BI
Extensive knowledge of product management processes, planning and execution
Demonstrated leadership in innovating in the field of processes, marketing activities and marketing excellence
Sound understanding of business financials, e.g., Profit and Loss statements
Fluent in English
